Scripture
“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, (25) not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” Hebrews 10:24-25 (NIV)

Though we may not always admit it, getting ourselves to church can be difficult sometimes. The kids get sick, sleeping in sounds amazing, we have endless errands to run that we saved for the weekend—there are many reasons to skip out on church. At least, that’s what we tell ourselves when justifying why we’d rather not go.

The truth is that the errands keeping us busy, the appointments blocking our schedules and the lazy Sundays we convince ourselves we need would not exist without God. He is the reason for everything in our lives and should be at the top of our to-do lists, not just on Sunday, but always. He gives us seven days a week. The least we can do is set aside a few hours to gather with fellow believers, listen to the weekly message and worship Him.

As Lent draws to a close, gather your family and friends to attend church altogether. Give thanks to the Lord alongside your loved ones for all that He has granted you, and that includes Sunday mornings.
