Do you feel assured by your faith in God? Are you able to rest in the promise of salvation?
When you walk in faith with Jesus, you are assured eternal life. You can do nothing out of your own will or determination to guarantee your place in Heaven. You can donate all of your time to causes, give the clothes off your back to a stranger or usher every Sunday during the early-bird service. Those good deeds will never be good enough to unite you with Christ when this earthly life ends. He alone is your righteousness, and if you abide in Him, you have nothing to fear.
God never wants His children to doubt their place with Him. Can you do good things on His behalf? One hundred percent. Yet everything you do should put God’s glory front and center. When the focus is on you, it dims others’ view of Jesus.
The grace of the Lord is free. You can’t buy or borrow it. You don’t have to ask for salvation again and again and again. There’s no negotiating tactics to secure it. Accepting His mercy means there is no condemnation in Christ. His promise of life everlasting. Let your heart be at ease because you belong to Him forever and always.
