Spice up your next Taco Tuesday meal with carne asada cooked from a crockpot. Slow-roasted and marinated with juices, this meal will make your mouth water!

Cook time: 6 hours
Serves 4

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs. flank steak
  • 1 tsp. smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp. cumin
  • 1 tsp. chili powder
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • ½ tsp. pepper
  • 1 tsp. onion powder
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. dried oregano
  • 2 Tb. olive oil
  • ¼ cup orange juice, freshly squeezed
  • ¼ cup lime juice, freshly squeezed
  • ¼ cup lemon juice, freshly squeezed
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 Tb. white vinegar

Directions:

    In a small bowl, whisk together spices, then stir in the oil.

    Rub half of the spice mixture on one side of the flank steak. Repeat on the other side.

    Whisk together the orange juice, lime juice, lemon juice, soy sauce and vinegar.

    Grease your crockpot and pour in half the juice mixture.

    Place the steak in the crockpot and pour the rest of the juice on top.

    Cover and cook on low for 6 hours.

    Once cooked, remove the steak from the crockpot and let sit for 5 to 10 minutes.

    Slice as desired, place the steak back in the crockpot, mix with the juices and serve.
