Take a moment and close your eyes. Imagine what it would be like to wake up each day without the opportunity to see the light. The rising sun and the full moon hanging in the night sky are opportunities so many of us take for granted. Light is a daily gift from God.
The absence of light in our lives––God’s light––would be a darkness like no other. Because of Him, a brightness shines in our lives that could never be outdone. The source of all life, God is the reason we live, why we can take in the view of spring flowers and see Him at work in our lives.
God is never hidden. He is always in plain view. Our lenses may fog, yet His love will shine through and protect us from the unseen. We are promised safety in His care. Nothing can come against us when we take refuge in the One who paints the skies with a brilliance artists can only admire yet could never emulate.
Today, feast at God’s banquet table. Taste and see that the Lord is good. He is literally and spiritually the fountain of life.
