Scripture
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28 (NIV)

Yes, you read that right. Yes, all things. All of them! Even the messy things, the painful things, the things you’d rather forget. Every last one can be used by God for the good of those who love Him. For the good of you who loves Him.

The human in us tends to focus on the past. “Remember when you did __? Remember when you said __ to __? You really messed up.” Yeah, inner voice, we know. But the Spirit within us isn’t concerned with that stuff anymore. Washed in the blood of Jesus, we have been cleansed of what we said and did. Your life in Christ isn’t a struggle between Old You and New You. It’s just you and God on the same team, fighting to save a broken world.

You will continue to make mistakes. You will continue to glance in your rearview mirror and cringe at the things you’ve left behind. But before you crash the car, look forward. Look to the things God is doing in this moment. Watch as He weaves together all of the good and the bad to create a better tomorrow.
