It’s no secret women face adversity in life. From judgemental moms in the carpool line to competing in the workplace and sometimes––unfortunately––even at home, expectations for how women should conduct themselves can feel a little archaic or out of step with how far we’ve come.
God loves all of His children equally and does not place one on a pedestal above another. That, sisters, includes us: women. Gender, race and age differences do not matter at all to God—He loves each of us for who we are. We are set apart, valued for our uniqueness and what we have to offer to the world. If you’re raising boys, teach them to be tomorrow’s men who are respectful of the contributions and minds of women. Girl moms: in those moments where it feels easy to bash our male counterparts, remember that will not elevate you at the office, in church or even at home––your daughters are listening, observing and modeling what they learn.
When facing workplace glass ceilings, remember that God does not believe any of His children are inferior. No matter who we are, we originate from the same God. We are all shaped in His image and no one else’s. A beauty like no other inside and out.
