Did you know that God sings over us? One more time…He sings, over us!
God, our Mighty Warrior, is deeply in love with us. He wants to be involved in every part of our lives. In this book of the Bible, Zephaniah is noting the sinful nature of others surrounding him in Israel. However, he takes this moment to call to the lost to let them know they can leave it all behind for a God who is faithful, forgiving and true. The Lord is not waiting on high to condemn us. He’s calling to us to come live life more abundantly with Him and be loved.
God is more than our creator. He stands in the midst of our lives, wanting to protect us from harm, defend us from evil and show us devotion and dedication like no one else. Once we realize God’s love for us, He takes such delight that He sings over us, like a mother bird over her babies in the nest. Whatever your “entrance song” into life’s arena is, with God singing it, you can be sure it was penned just for you.
Seek Him, and you will find a peace that surpasses all understanding. Love Him, and you will experience a devotion like no other. Trust Him, and you will find a God who rejoices over you with delight all the days of your life.
