“I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.” Psalm 27:13 (NIV)
It’s easy to watch the news, look at the world around us and wonder where God is. Why would He allow bad things to happen? The scriptures tell us we will face hardships of many kinds, but we don’t have to go through them alone.
In this passage, the psalmist is saying he’s confident he will see the goodness of the Lord. Even though the world may be flawed, he trusts that God is good. Every time there were hardships, trials and imprisonment in the Bible, the goodness of the Lord shines through it all.
No matter what you are going through, look for the goodness.
