Life is full of uncertainty. We pour our time, energy and hearts into everything we do—our work, our families, our dreams—never fully knowing what will flourish and what won’t. Ecclesiastes reminds us to keep going anyway. To plant, to work, to trust—because while we don’t control the results, we serve a God who does.
Sister, what seeds are you sowing in your life? Maybe you’ve started a new business or side project, but fear of failure is keeping you from giving it your all. Maybe you’re raising kids, wondering if the lessons you teach them now will take root in the years to come. Maybe you’ve been praying for a breakthrough in a difficult relationship, but feel discouraged when nothing changes.
This verse encourages us to keep going. Keep showing up, keep working—keep planting seeds of kindness, love and faithfulness—even when you don’t see immediate results. You may not know which efforts will bear fruit, but God does. And often, He brings growth in the most unexpected ways. Keep working on that produce stand at the farmer’s market. Keep building a homeschool curriculum for your kids. Keep pursuing the work God has put in your hands.
There is no perfect guarantee before you begin. Step out in faith. Put your hands to the work before you. Trust that God is in control of the harvest, and whatever grows will be exactly what He intended.
