Prep time: 30 minutes
Cook time: 12 minutes
Yields: 12

Ingredients:

  • 4 links breakfast sausage
  • 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 Tb. baking powder
  • ½ cup cold salted butter, diced
  • 1 – 10.5 oz can of cream of mushroom soup
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 2 tsp. thyme
  • 1 egg

Directions:

  • 1

Preheat the oven to 450°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • 2

While the oven is heating, cook the sausage according to the package directions and finely chop.
  • 3

Stir flour, baking powder and butter together in a large bowl. Using your fingers, crumble the cold butter into the flour mixture until it forms pea-sized pieces.
  • 4

Add the sausage, flour mixture, soup, honey and thyme. Mix until a slightly sticky dough forms.
  • 5

Sprinkle some flour onto the counter. Roll the dough into a 10x7" rectangle that’s 1-inch thick. Cut into 12 squares.
  • 6

Place the dough squares onto the baking sheet. Brush with egg wash. Sprinkle with additional thyme.
  • 7

Bake for 12 minutes or until the biscuits are golden brown. Serve warm.
