With a sprinkle of cheese and a leaf or two of basil, these green beans change how you think of dinnertime sides.

Serves 4

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb. fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 1 Tb. olive oil
  • ¾ tsp. basil
  • ¼ tsp. kosher salt
  • ¼ tsp. ground black pepper
  • 2 Tb. Parmesan, grated

Directions:

    Preheat the oven to 425°.
  • 2

    Wash and dry green beans before spreading them out on a rimmed baking sheet.
  • 3

    Toss with olive oil so that all beans are coated.
  • 4

    Sprinkle with salt, pepper and basil. Toss again to coat.
  • 5

    Roast for 10 minutes. Remove from the oven and toss, then roast for another 5 minutes.
  • 6

    Sprinkle with Parmesan and serve.
