Fear isn’t always loud. Sometimes it whispers. What if I fail? What if they don’t like me? What if things don’t get better?

Psalm 27:1 is David’s answer to those fears. Not by pretending they’re not real, but by remembering who God is—light, salvation, stronghold. He isn’t offering a pep talk. He’s anchoring his confidence in the unchanging character of God.

We don’t need to power through fear by ourselves. We don’t have to act tougher than we feel. Instead, we get to lean into the truth that we’re not alone. When the path feels dark or uncertain, God is our light. When life feels shaky, He’s our strength. He doesn’t just show up—He surrounds us.

If fear is creeping in today, don’t ignore it. Bring it into the light. Ask God to meet you there, right in the middle of it. And then take the next step, knowing you’re safe in His hands.
