This is a sobering look into the forces all around us. The spiritual things we only dream about. The darkness of our world is brought by these spiritual forces of evil. Locked in a battle we only read about in scripture. With this idea alone, it can be a scary thing. To know that there are evil spirits working against us. But Sister, that’s not where your story ends.
Throughout the Good Book, we read time and time again, that these forces will or have already been defeated. When Jesus went to the Cross the dark forces were defeated and death lost its sting. We are comforted when Paul writes: “And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross” (Colossians 2:15, NIV). Jesus has defeated the dark forces, they no longer have power over us. Rest and rejoice! The Lord has defeated them, even when we feel their chaos and darkness, there is victory on the horizon.
