- The Book of Job takes us on a journey through suffering and lament—one that is extreme in every way. Join us as we explore the Book of Job chapter by chapter, and ask yourself what it might look like to continue to include God in all the wild seasons of your life. We’ll cover a new chapter every week, so read along!
Have you ever had one of those seasons where it feels like everything’s falling apart and nothing is making sense—but deep down, something in you refuses to let go of hope? That’s exactly where Job was. And instead of giving in to despair, he threw down this bold declaration: “I know my Redeemer lives.” Not “I hope” or “I think”—I know.
And girl, that’s the energy we need sometimes. Not because everything is okay, but because we know Who holds it all. Job had lost almost everything, but he hadn’t lost his grip on the truth that God was still alive, still good, still on the move.
You’ve probably had your own Job moments. That time you got an unexpected diagnosis, a relationship ended or you cried in the shower so no one would hear you. And still—you showed up. You prayed through the tears. You kept believing, even if it was just by a thread. That is faith. That is strength. That is you standing right where Job stood.
So if you’re in the thick of it today, say it out loud: “I know my Redeemer lives.” Say it even if your voice shakes. Say it even if you don’t see the evidence yet. Because your Redeemer isn’t distant. He’s alive. He’s working. And one day—yes, one day—He will stand in victory, and everything you’re going through will make sense in the light of His justice and love.
Don’t back down. Don’t give up. Your Redeemer lives—and He’s not finished yet.
