Spruce up your next Italian pasta dish with these delicious garlic knots. With so much garlic, what could go wrong?!

Prep time: 20 minutes
Cook time: 10 minutes
Serves: 8

Ingredients:

Bread dough:

  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 1 cup whole-fat plain Greek yogurt
  • ¼ tsp. granulated sugar
  • ¼ tsp. Italian seasoning
  • 1 pinch salt

Garlic topping:

  • 1 Tb. melted butter
  • 1 Tb. olive oil
  • ½ tsp. dried parsley
  • 3 cloves garlic, pressed

Directions:

  • 1

Combine flour, yogurt, garlic, Italian seasoning and salt in a bowl and mix to combine.
  • 2

Dust your work surface with flour and transfer over the dough. Knead dough for 8 to 10 minutes with the palm of your hand. Add more flour as needed, 1 teaspoon at a time, to keep the dough from sticking.
  • 3

Preheat the oven to 500ºF. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  • 4

Shape dough into a rounded loaf and separate into 8 wedges of dough. Roll each piece into a rope shape and tie into a knot. Place knots on the prepared baking sheet.
  • 5

Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until knots are lightly browned.
  • 6

While the knots are baking, combine melted butter, oil, garlic and parsley in a small bowl. Brush the mixture over the warm knots once they’re done baking.
