Scripture
“So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 10 For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.” Luke 11:9-10 (NIV)

There are billions of people knocking on God’s door. Can you help me accomplish this? Please see me through this. Why is this happening? Whether airing grievances or seeking a better life, a lot of people bend God’s ear every day. So why would our little grievances or worries or wants matter? After all, He created the universe, crafted all of humanity from dust and watches over every matter of creation. Surely our job interviews, ailments, frustrations and aspirations fall to the bottom of His list.

But Jesus says whoever asks receives. Every time you knock at God’s door, it will open. Our Heavenly Father delights in conversations with us, and each time we approach His throne, He welcomes us with open arms. So what would you ask God for if you knew He was listening?

The good news is He is listening. That far-fetched dream or person weighing heavily on your heart can be surrendered before Him right this moment. Approach God’s throne in thanksgiving and recite this prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank you for your almighty power. Thank you for creating the heavens and the earth and everything that dwells in these spaces. Your mighty hands hold this world up, but you still take the time to lift me up. You take time to hear my prayers, comfort my heart and shower me with love. I am grateful you know the matters of my heart and can hear the words I haven’t even spoken. Father, you know what troubles me, and you know what I long for. I leave them here at your throne and praise your power to accomplish them. Amen.
