Isn’t it refreshing to know God’s way is perfect, flawless and fantastically fine?
We often think we know best. Even when we seek advice from friends or mentors, in the end, we may go our own way. After all, they aren’t walking in our shoes, and the decision affects us, not them. What if they gave horribly-crazy advice?
God doesn’t make mistakes. What He wills for us is flawless with divine reasoning behind it. There are times we are dying to know why––why horrible things happen, why suffering continues, why things don’t seem to go our way. Take comfort and trust in the word of God that is tried and true. Hold fast to the promises He pledges in scripture. Follow the guidelines He has set forth to see us live lives that are holy and acceptable to Him.
Trusting God to show us the way doesn’t mean we won’t ever know worry, fear or suffering. Some of the most outstanding examples of faithfulness in the Bible come from those who experienced trials and tribulations. God works all things out for His good, not how we think they should turn out. Just ask Daniel, Job or even Moses’s mom. Their faithfulness should encourage us, and their examples of trusting God provide peace when our best plans seem to have hit the shredder.
Look back on the years. Now that you have some distance and perspective, consider a time when you didn’t understand why things happened at the time, yet now you do. That’s God. Always working for us because He loves us.
