Life is a journey of continuous growth. Things we can learn. Practices to better ourselves for the future. Or simple actions to bring ourselves closer to God. Here at the end of Psalm 139, we find a call to God to know the ins and outs of our hearts. This is an honest, open prayer. Our Heavenly Father already knows the posture of our hearts, but when we willingly open ourselves to Him, He will begin to move in them. This is when our hearts of stone begin to become flesh.
Sweet friend, open your heart to God. Let Him pour into your life. As we surrender our anxieties, fears and struggles to Him, His transformative work starts to soften our hearts of stone, making them tender and responsive to His leading. It can be a scary thing to open yourself up, but God has no intention of hurting or leaving you. There is nothing He will turn away from proving just how much He loves you.
