Let’s be honest—following Jesus doesn’t always come with applause. Sometimes it comes with side-eyes, judgment or feeling like the odd one out in a room full of loud opinions.

Jesus doesn’t sugarcoat it here. He says straight-up: If they misunderstood Me, they’ll misunderstand you too. But He’s not saying that to scare you—He’s saying it so you know you’re not alone.

Think about it—maybe you’ve been in a work meeting where someone made a shady comment and you stayed silent instead of piling on. Or you were the only one who didn’t post about a hot topic because you didn’t feel like it honored God. Maybe it’s as simple as choosing not to binge that show everyone’s raving about because something in your spirit says, This isn’t for me.

That’s you—matching your heart to Jesus’. And yeah, it might make you stand out. But that’s what happens when your heart starts to reflect your Savior instead of the culture.

So, how do you wear the “Jesus look” in a world that often doesn’t get it?

Start with compassion—like checking in on the friend who’s been isolating, even though it’s not convenient. Add courage—like speaking up when someone’s being treated unfairly, even if it’s uncomfortable. And don’t forget kindness—like showing patience when your toddler melts down in the grocery store or when the barista messes up your order for the third time this week.

You don’t need to shout your faith—you just need to live it. Boldly. Gently. Faithfully.

You’re walking in step with Jesus. And there’s nothing more powerful or beautiful than that.
