Scripture
“He will stand and shepherd his flock in the strength of the Lord, in the majesty of the name of the Lord his God. And they will live securely, for then his greatness will reach to the ends of the earth.” Micah 5:4 (NIV)

This verse paints a picture of leadership rooted in strength and faith. It’s about standing firm, guiding those in our care with love and confidence while drawing our strength from the Lord.

When we think about this verse, let’s look at our roles in life—as mothers, sisters, friends and leaders in our communities. Sometimes, it can feel overwhelming, right? We’re expected to be strong, to guide, to nurture and to protect. But here’s the thing: we’re not doing this alone. Our strength comes from a higher source—God, who provides us with the wisdom, love and resilience we need.

This verse is also a beautiful reminder of the impact we can have. Our actions, our words, our love—they can reach further than we imagine. Just like a shepherd watches over their flock, we’re called to care for those around us, to offer guidance and protection, all while leaning on the Lord, our own shepherd, for our strength.

Let’s take a moment today to reflect on our own roles. Where are we called to lead? How can we offer guidance and care in our own unique way? Remember, leadership doesn’t always mean being in charge; sometimes, it’s about being a guiding light, a source of comfort and a beacon of faith.

Let’s embrace our roles with courage and faith, knowing that our strength and ability to make a difference comes from the Lord. Together, we can create ripples of positive change, reaching to the ends of the earth.
