22Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. 23They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:22-23 (NIV)

His mercies are new every morning! According to Dr. Caroline Leaf, a world renowned cognitive neuroscientist, His mercies literally regrow while you are sleeping in the form of new brain cells and connections. Every morning, we wake up refreshed, mind, body and soul all because of God’s intricate love for us. He is so faithful to care for us and give us everything we could ever need.

The way we think, physically changes our brain. The more positive we are, the more connections we build. Our brains are neuroplastic, which means that microscopic changes occur in the brain’s structure instantaneously as we think, feel, choose and experience things. Dr. Leaf explains that we can heal and change our own brain physically by the way we conduct our thoughts.

Do a heart check, and see if what you think you need and what God knows you need line up. God’s design is so intricate and detailed. He is so faithful and has designed and planned everything about us to serve and honor Him. Lean into Him and His will, so you can prosper in the way God wants you to!

How can you shift your thinking to better align with God’s today?
