Scripture
“Your love has given me great joy and encouragement, because you, brother, have refreshed the hearts of the Lord’s people.” Philemon 1:7 (NIV)

Let’s be real—life can feel like a lot. People are tired, worn thin and in serious need of something good. And that’s where you come in.

This verse from Philemon is more than a sweet thank-you note from Paul. It’s a reminder that your love—yes, your love—has the power to bring real joy and encouragement. You can refresh someone’s heart just by showing up with kindness, compassion or even just your presence.

Think about it. Maybe it’s dropping off coffee for your nurse friend who’s pulling double shifts. Or texting a mom who hasn’t posted in a while just to say, You’re seen. You matter. Maybe it’s picking up your teenager’s favorite snack without saying a word—or sitting with a friend in silence because that’s all they can handle.

You don’t need a platform or a perfect plan. You just need to care. Hold the door. Compliment the woman who looks like she barely made it out the door this morning. Make eye contact with someone who feels invisible.

That’s how joy spreads. That’s how hearts get refreshed.

So today, ask yourself—who’s around you that could use a lift? What small thing could you do that might feel like everything to someone else?

You’ve got it in you to be a modern-day Philemon. One small, intentional act of love at a time. And who knows? Maybe that ripple of joy you create today becomes a wave of hope for someone else tomorrow.

Keep spreading the good stuff, friend. You were made for this.
