There’s something so comforting about this verse—it’s like a deep exhale after trying too hard to figure everything out on your own.

Elihu steps into the conversation here, gently reminding everyone that real understanding doesn’t come from being older, louder or more educated—it comes from God. It comes from His Spirit in you.

And maybe you’ve experienced that—a moment where wisdom came not from the expected source, but from a quiet whisper inside. Perhaps it was when you didn’t fire off that email. Or when you sensed something wasn’t right and paused just long enough to pray. Maybe it was that conversation with your teenager where, somehow, you knew the right thing to say.

That’s not just intuition. That’s the breath of the Almighty.

God’s Spirit doesn’t only speak through devotionals or sermons or your friend who always seems to have it together. Sometimes He speaks through your kid’s bedtime question, a line in a movie or that weirdly well-timed memory from five years ago that suddenly means something more.

So today, take a minute. Where has God given you understanding? What moments or people or nudges have brought unexpected clarity?

Thank Him for that. Trust Him to keep doing it. And know this—you don’t have to have all the answers. You just need to stay open to the breath of the One who does.
