Scripture
“For you know that we dealt with each of you as a father deals with his own children, 12 encouraging, comforting and urging you to live lives worthy of God, who calls you into his kingdom and glory.” 1 Thessalonians 2:11-12 (NIV)

Father figures come in all forms. Birth fathers, grandfathers, uncles or close family friends who mentor us provide guidance and can help us navigate life’s challenges. Their encouragement helps us strive toward the ultimate goal of living a life of faith, hope and love.

This Father’s Day, take a moment to thank the father figures in your life for all they do. Their investment in you means they believe in you and are rooting for you to succeed in all you do. Don’t forget to thank your Heavenly Father for all those dad-like people who have invested in you. Most of all, send thanks God’s way for the eternal love He grants us all.

For those missing their fathers or perhaps those who have experienced tension or disappointment in parental relationships, remember God is always present. He will encourage, comfort and never fail you. His outstretched arms are quick to embrace, His patience runs deep and He is always quick to forgive—a father like no other.
