Scripture
“This is the account of Noah and his family. Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked faithfully with God.” Genesis 6:9 (NIV)

When we dive into what led up to the flood in Genesis, we see humanity at an all-time low. Whether you see it as irony or total frustration with His creation from the get-go, God was ready for a fresh start six chapters into the Bible. God wasn’t thrilled, was He?

Sin was widespread, corruption was rampant—yes, even more so than today! Looking into the hearts of mankind, all God could see was a growing evil. And this awful evil in the world had God grieving for mankind.

And so, it is no surprise that God was ready for a do-over. That’s when we are introduced to Noah. A man who lived among sin and debauchery, yet God saw him as blameless and righteous. He wasn’t perfect, but Noah walked with God, following and trusting Him for his every need. What saved Noah was the grace extended to him by God. That same grace is here for you to grasp onto today.

May God’s guidance help you remain blameless in His sight. May you be so bold as to proclaim God’s gospel of grace for all. Today, boldly go forth, knowing there is love and mercy for those who follow God.
