Cook time: 15 minutes
Serves: 4

Ingredients:

  • 1 large can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 2 tsp. olive oil
  • ¾ tsp. smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp. chili powder
  • ¼ tsp. cayenne pepper
  • ½ tsp. garlic powder

Directions:

  • 1

    Preheat the oven to 425°F.
  • 2

Drain and rinse the chickpeas under cool water and lay them out on a paper towel to dry completely.
  • 3

Rub them gently between two towels to loosen the husks. Remove husks and discard them.
  • 4

Dry the chickpeas again after the husks have been removed.
  • 5

Toss the chickpeas in a bowl with olive oil and add paprika, chili powder, cayenne and garlic powder. Toss until the chickpeas are evenly coated with the spices.
  • 6

Add the chickpeas to a sheet pan and spread them out in an even layer.
  • 7

Roast in the oven for 15 to 18 minutes, or until the chickpeas are crispy on the outside and dark golden brown.
  • 8

Let cool on the sheet pan and enjoy.
