Scripture
“‘For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?’” Esther 4:14 (NIV)

When asked, many of us are quick to name something about ourselves we’d change instantly if given a magic wand.

Our address.

Our height.

Our weight.

Our bank account balance.

It can be difficult to see past what we deem as flaws. God doesn’t see us through flawed lenses, though. He sees our ability to serve through any and all circumstances.

Raised by her cousin, Esther was a Jewish orphan living in Persia. An outcast, she knew what it was like to feel less than perfect, but God knew He could use Esther for a bigger plan, no matter how she judged herself—or how others judged her.

Esther had ample opportunity to back out yet chose not to. God put her in the direct path of the king. This unavoidable moment between them gave Esther the voice and perfect moment to speak for the Jewish people. With God’s help, she saved them.

The story of Esther is an amazing example of how putting faith in action can lead to big opportunities to save others.
