Scripture
“The Lord said to Abram after Lot had parted from him, ‘Look around from where you are, to the north and south, to the east and west. 15 All the land that you see I will give to you and your offspring forever. 16 I will make your offspring like the dust of the earth, so that if anyone could count the dust, then your offspring could be counted. 17 Go, walk through the length and breadth of the land, for I am giving it to you.’” Genesis 13:14-17 (NIV)

Have you ever stood at a crossroads (literal or proverbial) where a choice needed to be made?

Abram, or Abraham as he’s later called, is at a fork in the road where his faith is being tested. His nephew, Lot, is trying to convince him to join his journey towards a land where endless opportunity and wealth await. On the other hand—the other road—is God’s promise to Abraham. The promise that his descendants would outnumber clouds of dust if he simply trusts and obeys.

Decisions, decisions…

Well, it didn’t turn out so hot for Lot. He lost his family and possessions—everything. Abraham chose wisely and was blessed beyond measure.

Our daily decisions make a difference in our lives and the lives of others. Choose the right fork in the road. Choose faithfulness. Choose God.
