It can be hard to fully accept God’s forgiveness. The sacrifice, the patience, the unconditional love. How could it all be true? But even if you have your head wrapped around the magnitude of His forgiveness, can you show the same radical love to others?
God’s ability to forgive is bigger than we can fathom or truly replicate. He simply asks that we try. More than simply forgive and forget, God asks that we “bear with each other.” Don’t tell that stubborn friend you forgive them and then promptly write them off the next time they reach out. Bear with them through good times and bad, protecting your heart while pouring out unconditional love and forgiveness.
It won’t be easy. Few of God’s commandments are. But when we walk with Him, study His word and come to understand His heart, it becomes easier to replicate God’s love.
