Scripture
“Do everything without grumbling or arguing.” Philippians 2:14 (NIV)

We’ve all been there. The kids won’t listen. Your boss won’t listen. The world is working against you, and you’re just tired of it. You look to your girlfriends for some much needed venting or get a little argumentative over the dishes with your partner. In the moments where life feels overwhelming, what else is there to do?

God tells us to turn to Him. He leaves His ear open for all of our worries, troubles and frustrations. As we open up, He fills our minds with wisdom and places His song in our hearts. No self-pity, no anger. Just boundless comfort that whatever it is, it’s covered.

The temptation to let little grumblings slip into conversation is normal. In the moments you feel most alone or angry, hold fast that comfort is coming. Cease the grumblings in your heart and invite in the presence of God.
