Scripture
“…he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us generously through Jesus Christ our Savior.” Titus 3:5-6 (NIV)

In a world filled with extremes, welcoming the Holy Spirit to dwell within can provide the soul-makeover of a lifetime.

The Trinity is the trifecta of saving grace: God the Father, His Son and the Holy Spirit. Without God sending Jesus to intercede on behalf of our blemishes, the Holy Spirit wouldn’t exist. All three work together in perfect balance, bringing us the gift of eternal life.

For some, the Holy Spirit is difficult to describe. It’s that feeling you have when you know God’s Spirit is with you. It guards your heart and mind when something seems not quite right. It’s the appearance of goosebumps and that little voice you hear inside reaffirming or rebuking our decisions. The Holy Spirit is whispers of warmth and comfort that arrive right on time, meeting us when we need God most.

Many scribes who breathed God’s word into the Bible felt the presence of the Holy Spirit as they wrote. It was at work within these servants of God then just as it fills our souls today. God’s light and grace is a reflection of the Holy Spirit dwelling in us. It’s the peace we feel inside that passes all human understanding.
