There’s nothing quite like crescent dogs to remind you of being a kid—or a kid at heart! This decades-old favorite is spiced up like your favorite bagel, but better.

Prep time: 10 minutes
Cook time: 18 minutes
Serves 8 people

Ingredients:

  • ½ tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 Tb. dried minced onions
  • 2 Tb. sesame seed
  • 1 Tb. poppy seed
  • 1 can refrigerated crescent rolls
  • ½ cup chive and onion cream cheese
  • 8 hot dogs

Directions:

  • 1

    Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  • 2

In a small bowl, combine garlic powder and dried onions with sesame and poppy seeds. Once thoroughly mixed, pour onto a dinner plate.
  • 3

Separate crescent dough into rectangles. Seal perforations.
  • 4

Cut each rectangle in half, making 8 squares of dough, each measuring roughly 3½ inches.
  • 5

Spread 1 tablespoon of cream cheese in the middle of each square, leaving a quarter of the dough exposed on each side.
  • 6

Place 1 hot dog onto each dough square, then roll up and pinch edges to seal.
  • 7

Gently roll dough-wrapped hot dogs in seed mixture, coating evenly.
  • 8

Place hot dogs seam-side down on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • 9

Bake for 16-18 minutes or until golden brown.
