Have you ever stepped outside at night, looked up at the stars and felt small in the best kind of way?

David did. As he stared at the night sky, he wasn’t overwhelmed by how tiny he was—he was overwhelmed that God still saw him. In a world filled with galaxies, stars and endless space, God still chooses to be near to us. To care. To love. To stay.

It’s easy to forget that in the day-to-day. When we’re folding laundry, driving carpool, answering emails or navigating heartbreak, the weight of life can make us feel insignificant. We wonder if our ordinary moments matter. If we matter.

Psalm 8 answers that with a resounding yes.

We may be small in the scope of creation, but in God’s eyes, we are deeply known and wholly valued. The same hands that shaped the stars also shaped you. The same God who created oceans and galaxies also numbers the hairs on your head.

That truth brings a rare kind of peace—a reminder that your life isn’t overlooked or unimportant. You are woven into something bigger than you can see, and still, God meets you personally. Intimately. Lovingly.

So tonight, when the world feels heavy or your efforts feel unseen, go outside if you can. Look up. Let the stars remind you: you are part of something vast and holy, and yet you are never lost in the crowd.

The Creator of the Universe knows your name. And in the expanse of all He made, He chose to make you, too.
