Revelation 11:12 gives us a vivid and mysterious image. Two faithful witnesses, once thought defeated, are raised to life and called up to heaven in front of their enemies. It’s dramatic, awe-inspiring and full of God’s undeniable power.
While the symbolism in Revelation can be a lot to take in, one truth is crystal clear: God’s people are never truly defeated. Even when the situation looks hopeless, even when it feels like darkness has won, God always has the final word. He is the One who calls His people to rise.
You may not be swept up into the clouds, but God is still calling you to rise—every single day. When life feels heavy, when you’re battling fear, exhaustion or everyday chaos, He’s whispering, Come up here. Rise above the noise. Rise in faith. Rise in strength that comes from Him, not from yourself.
So when you feel knocked down by circumstances, big or small, remember this: God sees you. He strengthens you. And He’s calling you to stand up, stand firm and keep going—because you are never alone, and you are never without hope.
