Scripture
5Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV)

This life is tricky to navigate alone. Trying to do so is a tiresome, exhausting effort. Sister, we are not called to go through life without a guide. We have the ultimate guide in our Heavenly Father. In Proverbs, we are reminded to “lean not on our own understanding,” but to submit to God. When we submit to God, we take our concerns, our worries, our hopes and desires, all to Him. Everything we rely on, God will provide, when we submit our lives to His mercy.

Sister, this is not to fall into a life of slavery, but one of freedom and fulfillment in Christ. When we give God our lives, He frees us from all of our burdens. The chains of sin are broken and we are free to find real joy and fulfillment in Christ our Lord.

This endeavor is lifelong! Friends, we can look to each other for encouragement, as we grow closer to the Father and yearn to experience the freedom that He offers us. As we submit more and more of our lives to Him, He will reveal more of His grace and knowledge. This is the life we are called to–leaning on the rock of our salvation everyday!
