Scripture
“Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always.” Psalm 105:4 (NIV)

Always is a long time, isn’t it?

Let’s be honest, friend. We’re all seeking something, and it’s not always God. Sometimes it’s all about pursuing that first cup of coffee in the morning—no judgment here! Maybe it’s constantly misplaced car keys. For others, it’s answers to some pretty serious questions. No matter what you’re looking for, the Lord wants us to seek Him—His face—for everything.

Seeking God can be seasonal rather than standard. When life gets tough, when we need something or want to be released from something, we run to Him. It feels like second nature to scroll the internet for answers. Calling our BFF to vent or get their opinion is an automatic response. What if you did something out of the norm? What if before you grabbed that first cup of coffee, you picked up your Bible? Rather than go straight to your phone to get affirmations from others, what if you went to God to affirm how good He is? Then, send your friend that funny morning meme because we definitely need more laughter in our lives.

All relationships grow by being nurtured. That includes our connection with God. His wisdom, guidance and strength can help us flourish in ways we never thought possible. His presence heals weary souls.

Seek Him first, sister—always.
