Scripture
1You have searched me, Lord, and you know me. 2You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. 3You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. 4Before a word is on my tongue you, Lord, know it completely.” Psalm 139:1-4 (NIV)

Being honest and vulnerable is not an easy thing to do. There’s a part of us, deep down, that’s afraid to be known. Afraid that the more people know who we really are, the more they will be pushed away. Sometimes it’s because we have skeletons in our closet, some secret we’re afraid to confess. Other time’s it may just be a fear of intimacy, or a fear of losing a potential friend.

Our relationship with the Heavenly Father is no exception to these fears. In our prayers, confession does not always come easy. Many times we hold things back from God, without even realizing! However, the psalmist here is reminding us that the Lord above already knows everything there is to know about each of us. He knows us better than we know ourselves! He is the Almighty Designer, the Great Creator! He has made you exactly the way He designed, in a beautifully perfect image, that represents who you are. And you are His beloved.

Sister, any worry or fear you have about yourself, is wiped away by God’s grace! He has sought to love you from before He created the Heavens and the Earth! My friend, rejoice in who He has made you to be!
