Grumblings amongst the Israelites every time something bad happens seems comical. How could they be so impatient–so incredibly quick to forget that God delivered them from slavery? But we aren’t too different from the ancient Israelites. God has delivered us from sin and death, but we still question His intentions and rebel against His rules.
Friend, remember the roots of your faith. The foundations of trust in the work that Christ has done. Frustrations and irritations with the Lord will come. There will be times when you can’t help but be annoyed that God hasn’t provided something specific for you. These are natural feelings to have, it’s in our human nature. Yet, the things that we ask of God are small compared to the everlasting gift He has given us in Christ Jesus. When you feel impatient or unheard like the Israelites, give yourself space to take a step back and remember what God has already done for you.
