Remember calling cards? Collect calls? Rotary phones that seemed to take an eternity to dial? One of the things that’s so great about our God is that we don’t have to wait our turn in a phone booth or be placed on hold to talk to Him. We can connect with God anytime, anywhere.
God is always willing to converse with us. We can come into His presence and fill His ear about our day, our worries, our praises, whatever. He doesn’t keep His distance from us.
Jesus made a path for us to seek God whenever we wish. We can come to Him boldly and expectant that He will hear our hearts. Don’t fear the line being disconnected or your call being dropped. God wants us to enter into His presence with thanksgiving and be direct with our requests. We don’t have to rely on anyone else to deliver our message to Him. We can do that all by ourselves with a simple prayer lifted high.
