Think about a time when you got up early–at the crack of dawn–to witness a breathtaking sunrise, where the first rays of light pierce through the darkness, painting the sky with hues of gold and pink. In that awe-inspiring moment, it’s as if God Himself is calling attention to the beauty that can emerge from darkness. In 2 Corinthians 4:6, the Apostle Paul reminds us that God, the Creator of light, has also shone His divine light within our hearts.
Sister, you carry within you a radiant reflection of God’s glory. Just as He called forth light from darkness at the beginning of creation, He has called forth His light within you. In the face of Christ, we find the embodiment of God’s love, grace and mercy, and that same light dwells in us, illuminating our hearts with the knowledge of His glory. So just as the song we sang as kids goes, “This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine!”–let your light shine!
