Scripture
1Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden?’” 2The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, 3but God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’” 4“You will not certainly die,” the serpent said to the woman. 5“For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”” Genesis 3:1-5 (NIV)

The enemy is so deceptive. He tricked Eve so easily in the Garden. So often we feel inadequate, unlovable or alone. A friend doesn’t answer a text or call, and the enemy so quickly gets in our heads telling us, “They’re probably mad at us. We don’t have anything to offer in the friendship. I’m not good enough.”

But sister, this spiral of negative thoughts comes from the enemy. His only goal is to seek, kill and destroy our Father’s Kingdom. One by one, he takes our insecurities and twists them into lies. But, God says otherwise.

Throughout scripture, He tells us who we actually are:

We are His. Galatians 3:26

We are loved. John 3:16

We are chosen. Ephesians 1:3-4

These reassuring verses are sprinkled throughout scripture. The next time the enemy tries to twist a situation into lies, open your bible. Seek God’s truth, sister, and send that enemy packing. Only your Father in Heaven can define who you are.
