Do you feel stuck?
Maybe you get trapped in the hamster wheel of thoughts that spin in your mind, yet you know they’re untrue. Perhaps there’s a habit that you have struggled to overcome, yet the shackles seem hard to break. Is there something separating you from God that you can’t give up?
Today’s verse, written by the apostle Paul, is for you.
God is not a foreign entity. He isn’t in a land far, far away. He’s involved, here and ready to set you free. When Jesus ascended into Heaven, God sent the Holy Spirit to dwell among believers. The Holy Spirit comforts us, speaks life to us and is the little voice that tells us everything will be okay. It also tells us when our choices aren’t the best and convicts us to do better.
I don’t know your struggles, but I know this: sin will trap you and make you feel unworthy. Transgressions will take root in your life, then try to snuff out the light of God in your heart. There is sweet freedom in Christ Jesus. Wherever the Holy Spirit is, there is an escape for the faithful. Freedom from the chains of your sin is possible. You can break free from what holds you back. When you feel at your weakest, call out for strength. Sister, there is power in the name of Jesus.
