Scripture
"2From the ends of the earth I call to you, I call as my heart grows faint; lead me to the rock that is higher than I. 3For you have been my refuge, a strong tower against the foe. 4I long to dwell in your tent forever and take refuge in the shelter of your wings." Psalm 61:2-4 (NIV)

This Psalm was David’s prayer to the Lord just after the people he trusted most, had betrayed him and were trying to overthrow him as King. When David didn’t have anyone to turn to, he knew he could turn to his rock, God. He cries out to God in this prayer because he knows he can always trust Him. The rank of men always changes, but God never does. God is solid ground.

Always call out to Him when you are feeling lost or alone. And if you are blessed enough to not be in that position, pray for someone who might be and encourage them to call out to God. He is always there, whenever we need Him. He is our refuge, our strong tower. We can always take refuge in the shelter of His wings.
