Twisted Words

1Now the serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the Lord God had made. Never Too Old

1The LORD had said to Abram, ‘Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you. 2I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. 3I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.’ 4So Abram went, as the LORD had told him; and Lot went with him. Abram was seventy-five years old when he set out from Harran.” Genesis 12:1-4 (NIV)

3For six years sow your fields, and for six years prune your vineyards and gather their crops. 4But in the seventh year the land is to have a year of sabbath rest, a sabbath to the Lord. Renew Your Strength

30Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; 31but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not be faint.” Isaiah 40:30-31 (NIV)

What is Faith?

“Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” Hebrews 11:1 (NIV)

A Life Led by Faith

“For we live by faith, not by sight.” 2 Corinthians 5:7 (NIV)

You’re Unshakable

5Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from him. 6Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken.” Psalm 62:5-6 (NIV)

17Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, 18yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior. 19The Sovereign Lord is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to tread on the heights.” Habakkuk 3:17-19 (NIV)
